We are Out in Chemistry (OIC), a chemistry graduate student organization at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Before OIC became an official organization in 2020, the group hosted social and networking events for LGBTQ+ graduate students and postdocs in the chemistry department. OIC plans to further strengthen the LGBTQ+ community within and beyond the U of I chemistry department by helping members of our community connect with, advocate for, and support each other in our endeavors as scientists.

Be on the lookout for news about our student-lead support groups and our annual speakers! We welcome attendance from all LGBTQ+ and allied graduate students and postdocs at our public events!
